Mass Effect Legendary Cache Product Announcment

Now that Mass Effect Legendary Edition has been confirmed for almost 3 months, it’s the BioWare Gear Store’s turn to make a big announcement. Today, the website is launching 6 new collectibles that will surely delight fans of the original trilogy. They come in a bundle called Mass Effect Legendary Cache.

And the star of this release will make you feel like you really are Commander Shepard.

Let's go through them one by one.

Let’s start with the aforementioned star: Mass Effect’s very first official helmet replica. It’s wearable, beautiful, faithful to the games… and yes, it lights up, too. Are you Paragon Blue or Renegade Red? There’s a switch on the inside that lets you choose. The lights illuminate the visor and accents on the sides and back.

It’s as close to the real thing as you can get because we worked very closely with the devs to get it looking authentic and believable. They even let us borrow the actual 3D model used in-game. Those metal and carbon fiber finishes were especially fun and challenging. Conventional knowledge tells us to keep our process secret. "Well. What about Shepard?"

The iconic opening sequence of Mass Effect 1 introduces us to the player character, Shepard looking at the Earth through a window. To immerse fans in Shepard’s story before this scene, the bundle includes a letter from Captain Anderson, the very first N7 graduate, welcoming Shepard to the force.

 Seasoned players know: choosing between Paragon and Renegade is easier said than done. You could be torn between what you think is honorable, and what you think somebody deserves. Ultimately, they are two parts of the same Shepard. That’s what this other wearable in the bundle is all about.

Use it to display your moral alignment. Or choose between order and chaos with the flick of a finger.

The game itself isn’t part of the Mass Effect Legendary Cache, but this bundle includes a premium metal game case. It features Mass Effect Legendary Edition’s key art on its front and the logo on its side. Whether you have a physical copy of the game or not, this case is well worth displaying.
